The Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship returns to fanfare at Royal Highland Centre
The Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship is returning to the Royal Highland Centre for a second year.
Set for Sunday 19th August 2012, organisers are hoping to build on last year's phenomenal success, where just under 40 band performers and more than 3,000 visitors were welcomed to the first major piping contest held in Edinburgh for 15 years.
The event culminated in a grand finale with competing pipers and drummers taking part in the march past, saluting Chieftain, Ian Embelton, Chief Executive of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
More Highland dancers are expected to attend this year, as the organisers build on last year's numbers, which saw 120 dancers compete.
Last year's visitor favourite, the heavies will once again be participating in a mini Highland Games event as they toss the caber, shot put and hammer throw - all to the delight of the audience.
Trade Stand
The Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship is an exciting, annual event being organised and run by the Royal Highland Centre in partnership with The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Lothian and Borders Branch
We would like to provide you with an opportunity to take a trade stand with us to capitalise on the high volume of footfall we expect on the day.
Recognising that this is Edinburgh's only annual Pipe Band Championship, and that there is a clear market opportunity to establish such an event in Edinburgh, the Centre is keen to work with you to develop your business opportunity.
The Championship promises to offer an attractive day out for piping enthusiasts and families alike. With over 4,000 visitors to our 2011 event, we are expecting an increased volume this year.
With a proactive marketing and PR campaign already underway, interest from the public and trade is growing at a fast pace!
Space/Stand Packages
- Stands available from £75 + VAT (3 x 3m plot)
- Larger plot spaces also available by special request - please phone Robbie Laidlaw on 0131 335 6216.
- All plots are 'space only' and are located on grass within very close proximity to the competition and catering areas to maximise on visitor footfall.
- Prices include free trade parking and two exhibitor passes.
All customers who take a trade stand will be given the opportunity to promote their products online through the Edinburgh Pipe Band Championship website and Facebook page generating higher product awareness. All trade stands will also be included in our extensive social media campaigns.
